Sidney James (born Solomon Joel Cohen; 8 May 1913 – 26 April 1976) was a South African-born British actor and comedian. He is best known for his roles in the Carry On films, as well as his numerous television and radio appearances.
Early Life and Career: Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, as Solomon Joel Cohen, <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Sidney%20James">Sidney James</a> began his career in theatre and radio in his native country. He relocated to the United Kingdom in 1946.
Film Career: James appeared in numerous British films from the late 1940s onwards, often playing spivvy or comedic roles. His lecherous character became a staple of the series.
